#26. February: Ahhhhhh!!!
So many things! Too many things!! Ahhhhh!

Welp, we are pretty late with this one. Mostly because of my job. Kill it with a hammer! :)
Aside from work woes, I do have a few new things going on now:
Edible Gardening! Plants to eat!
Heart issues?
I’ll go into the heart issues first, since that kinda sucks.
But yeah. Got my first EKG at my check up in Feb and learned that I may have left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH). It’s a heart issue where one side of the heart is uber buff due to overwork. It’s often caused by untreated high blood pressure (HBP).
HBP runs in my family, and mine has been somewhat elevated in the past. After my gastric bypass surgery, it went down, but work stress is causing it to go up again.
The doctor said that the damage is irreversible, but it can be stopped with HBP management.
For now, I’m okay. I just experience palpitations (which I thought was due to my anxiety) and sharp jabbing pain along my left arm sometimes (which I thought was muscle-spasms). I suppose the biggest issue that LVH will cause is upping my likelihood of having a heart attack in the future.
Which… kinda sucks lol.
I have been considering taking more PTO from day job to do project stuff. It just makes me happier to do artwork.
Now for the gardening… well, I’ll add that to the focus section. So without further ado!
Munikiniverse Outlines
Not much change here. Still getting the outlines reviewed by my writing group members. I have been helping other members out with making videos in exchange for reviews and such, so this has been put on hold. But I am glad that the outlines are simmering in other people’s minds!
vTubing
I have completed two videos so far! Since you follow my newsletter, you all get a special sneak peek! :3 I hope you enjoy them~
Munikiniverse Lore Video:
Still picking away at this when I have time. The data solution is coming along now! Just have to build out the rest of the website and get it ready to host online.
Storyboarding Schoolism Class
I finished the first couple of lessons and started a couple of boards. But… that’s as far as we got. Sigh. Busy busy!
Gardening
And here we have our newest focus! After getting the news about my heart, I decided to get into an “away from the computer” activity. And gardening edible plants is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time.
Here are some progress pics of how my little back porch container garden is coming along. This is essentially 1 month of growth.
The picture on the left is the first planting, and the picture on the right is today.
First planting on Feb. 11. | Latest Picture (1 month) |
I planted WAY too much onion in there, and my leeks were also just bunched up. So I have since removed a lot of the onions and separated out the leeks. Hopefully they actually produce. Those onions have had a rough time!
My black planters:
First planted in Feb. | Most Recent! |
This is blackberry (on the top right), raspberry (on the top left) along with onions and leeks, and then two baby Cherokee tomatoes on the bottom. The raspberry is looking a bit haggard, but the blackberry is waking up from dormancy really well!
My Large Raised Bed (Given to me by a friend!):
First planting in Feb with sprouts! | And today! 1 month of growth. |
These are doing their best so far! These are some cosmic purple carrots and green arrow peas, along with some watercress in the tub on the corner there.
Soon imma have to make a trellis for these little babies!
And then here are my other assorted plants:
Some spinach! And then a bunch of fruit-bearing stuff for my yard. Barbados cherries, banana, mulberry, and pink guava. Waiting for them to get a bit stronger before I transplant them.
Not pictured are my 3 blueberry plants and a dragon fruit plant. But hopefully they will be pictures soon. With fruit!
Also, by request, here are some pics of my roommate’s dog Ronan (the Spaniel) and my dog Joel (the Chihuahua). Both pics were taken by my roommate Kristin (see, I do talk about you sometimes! Haha).
Bujo Check In~
Hourly Tracker
Managed to keep a pretty steady track in Feb. I also marked out how much of my life I spend doing things. Really puts stuff into perspective!
